Power plant
Wood fired boiler and steamdriven turbine - generator.Basic, hard to replicate in game.This equipment and its power engineerstaff, make most of the electricitywe all use.I'm Chief Power engineer, T.Dickson,givin' the tour..We burn sawmill waste here, bark, sawdust etc.Furnace tempatures range 1300-1800° F or 700-1000° C. Water boils to steam very rapidly.The invisable pressurized steam is piped to the turbine, at the lower left corner. (It's in cut-away view, gen. is hidden behind it.)I need a man to fill in today, your that man. Lets head to the control room and get the pusher ram shovin' fuel out of the hopper and into the furnace.Then bring the turbines speed up with taps on the turning-gear button.

- May 28, 2012 alfajim: Very nice build, and good explanation. It looks like you're getting some condensing at the top of the steam pipeline, maybe not running to full efficiency ;-). It would be 5* from me but still can't vote.

- May 28, 2012 T.Dickson: I just emptied the hopper twice, had one jam at 3rd block from end. Used slider on-off and it cleared.
